And lol someone’s finally made a joke art about it! It’s funny cause many people thought his name was an intentional pun but upon making this kid, I really had no knowledge of this singer!(I really dunno that many famous peeps, trust me)

I mean I had a few friends online offer me last names when I was deciding on them back then. Swift sounded like a cool last name, so I went with it. A couple of people did poke fun at it saying it sounds like the singer name but I was like “Eh, she must not be that popular” It was only around the time I got my Tumblr did I realize I had created a terrible fate for the child =w=;

Made up a background story for it too! Tyler’s parents first wanted a girl. Tyler’s mom was also a fan of Taylor Swift. So they had already decided to name their kid Taylor when out pops a boy instead. They were like aww man but they still decided to name him something similar to the name.

A few years later Tyler’s sister is born and while they had the urge to name her Taylor, they felt sorry for her already born brother. But at least now they got a girl. They named her Marcy which is also actually a pun; Since a baby girl was delivered to the family so fast, Tyler’s parents thought whatever higher power up there must have been pretty merciful. Mercy had been brought fast to them. Mercy Swift. Marcy Swift.

But yes, just to annoy Tyler, his parents would sometimes sing-song Taylor Swift songs in situations they believe fit the lyrics. I have created the worse parents for this boy haha.

If it wasn’t obvious by now, Tyler does not like Tyler Swift songs. FOR A VERY GOOD REASON.

Maybe I’ll be at least nice enough to not have her in his world or something…

If you wanna jump on skype for a bit, I could go into more detail, and I’ll have a look through my collections… but my first port of call would be Highlander. There is an anime, but the live action series has brilliantly choreographed sword fights.

I would but I gotta head to bed in a bit(unless you can show me in 20 minutes or so), I got a fucking english test tommorow(it seems they test the newbies and urge everyone to get a higher score each year. Welp I didn’t study, lesse how much I can get.) and I at least wanna stay awake…

Maybe day after tommorow, since it’s a Sunday. And yes, I sometimes have to work on a Saturday. You might see me reblogging/liking things during my daytime but that’s just me taking quick breaks in the bathroom with my phone(also to prevent wasting my time on tumblr when I get back cause I’m surely to start scrolling)

The problem I have with real life ones though is that it’s hard to find reference that emphasizes perspective and angles. And there’s the fact my art is already deformed enough and uses exaggerated perspective…OTL

My suggestion would actually be to go frame-by-frame on a good movie sequence. 

Know any good sword fight sequences?(preferably animes)

Senshistock does have a lot of good references, but it’s still a bit stiff. It can’t be helped because the poser has to keep still for the camera. There’s also “photo reference for comic artists” which has some good angles but I’ve failed to find the stuff I’d like for swords.

Both are good, I’m just really picky when it comes to battle poses…

I was born in Japan but right when I was like 1 yrs old I moved with my parents to america(job related stuff, was dragged along) and lived there for like 10 years. So my mindset’s somewhat like that of an American haha. I returned to Japan around middle school and lived around another 10 years here in Japan. I can understand sucking at the other language, languages are damn hard. Hell I can’t handle both cause I lived half n’ half on each. AWKWARD BILLINGUAL DESU.

But yeah it’s really cool how you can understand both the languages! Which also means I must be wary when talking naughty things in Japanese…Let us troll our gaijin friends hehehehe >:3c
